The USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) is is the 5th nuclear-powered and second Nimitz-class aircraft carrier. She was launched on 13 February 1988 and commissioned on 11 November 1989.
Since commissioning, USS Abraham Lincoln has participating in numerous deployments include those in support of Gulf War in 1990s and military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. The ship currently serves as the flagship of Carrier Strike Group Three.
The ship has been homeported in San Diego, CA, since 2020.
